All Pioneer plasmas TVs come with a five-year warranty. This allows buyers to purchase Pioneers Kuro sets without worrying about any possible failures. It is the longest warranty offered. Most manufacturers are only willing to issue one year warranties.

Sizes and Models

Pioneer plasma televisions come in four 9th generation models. There are two sizes, 50" and 60". All models come with true high definition and Dolby Surround Sound. These models have been carefully designed for ease of use with other components such as blu-ray players and HD DVD players.

True High Definition

All Pioneer plasma televisions feature true high definition. A rate of 1080 pixels is the standard for all Pioneer Kuro plasma TVs. By contrast, nonPioneer plasmas often come in 728 pixels with a tuner or with what is called enhanced definition rather than high definition.

Dolby Surround Sound

Available on all models, Dolby Surround Sound brings you 5.1 channels of sound to create the most authentic and realistic sound imaginable. Only Pioneer Kuro systems can bring you true Dolby Surround Sound.

Ultra Thin: Pioneer KRP600M

This 9th generation Pioneer Kuro 60" model is only 64mm, the thinnest Pioneer yet. It provides a unique calibration system including settings for day and night viewing. It is totally internet and PC compatible, providing pure images of still and moving pictures.

Pioneer LX609A

This new, 9th generation 60" plasma set has black levels five times that of the 8th generation, which won awards for its black levels. In addition, it has Ethernet, HDMI and USB connections for superb flow of cable, television and the internet.

Model PXPLX509A

This model is a 50" plasma set with 9th generation technology, including the highest ever black levels, five times that of the 8th generation. It features the same warranty, high definition and dolby surround sound as the 60" models.

Model PDPC509A

This model is a 50" plasma set designed to bring sports and movies to life. Although lower priced, it features the same warranty and many features such as high definition and Dolby Surround Sound that are the hallmarks of the Pioneer Kuro brand.
