Plasma TV Furniture
There is a deluge of plasma TVs on the market nowadays, and a new found market in plasma TV furniture – from mounts to carts, to stands. Accessorising your plasma TV has become nearly as important as the TV itself.
MOUNTS
Flat Wall Mount
The most ubiquitous mounting option for plasma TV owners is the flat wall mount. This type of mount fastens your plasma TV directly to the wall as one would a picture frame. As a result, the arrangement best optimizes limited space available. This mount is best used when you are viewing it at eye level.
Tilt Wall Mount
If you opt to place the plasma TV higher than the desired eye level, the tilt wall mounts are used. Secured to a wall, tilt mounts allow you to slightly tilt the television 0°-15° degrees from the wall to the desired viewing angle. With this, the user can pull the plasma monitor and tilt the unit from between 15° to 20° degrees.
Articulating Wall Mount
In this case, this type of wall mount employs a swivel arm that folds up. Apart from the tilt mount, the articulating wall mount guarantees the most flexibility for a television mounted to a wall. It can go round 120° degrees in either direction side to side. In the same way, it could also turn 0°- 10° degrees top to bottom in manner of tilting.
Plasma TV Cart
Typically used for business applications, this display solution is a favorite in trade shows. This TV accessory is particularly handy when the unit has to be mobilized across longer distances. The cart allows you to move the TV, without losing its security to the cart.
Automated Mounts
Two types of automated mounts are available. One is the automatic electric pop-up lift, the other the automated electric ceiling lift. The electric pop-up lift for large plasma televisions accommodates the plasma unit in a cabinet or counter. Then it can be slowly elevated electronically. The latter lifts your plasma TV up in the ceiling itself for storage. At any time, it can be retrieved electronically at your convenience.
Ceiling Mounts
If there possibly are no walls available to hang your TV from, ceiling mounts present an option. The support from the ceiling reliably defies gravity, and can make your viewing experience more enjoyable. Standard lengths of these mounts range from 24 to 43".
STANDS
Out in the market are a plethora of stands for a plasma TV. For one, the table stand is used for the most basic table application, be it in the boardroom or living room. Usually, table stands will generally elevate the unit 2.5 inches from table to base of the unit. The table stand allows for maximum flexibility. It guarantees liberal mobility, which can hoist the unit at eye level.
Pedestal and floor TV stands are taller than the table stand. They are adjustable, usually lifting units up or down anywhere by 20" for optimal viewing.
